Video of Dan from the Parkinson Show

Thanks to dr.com

Today Dan on ITV1 Parkinson Show

Today as you all know will air the interview recorded a few days ago of Dan in the TV show Parkinson at 10.45pm on ITV1.

Here are a few quotes of what to come from that interview.

When ask about what the WB thought about his roles in Equus and My Boy Jack, Dan has this to say:

"Warner Brothers have always been totally supportive of things like Equus and My Boy Jack because I think they know, deep down, that doing other things will only get Potter more publicity - not that it needs more!"

"I think they also realise that by going off and doing something like Equus and doing something like My Boy Jack, that when I come back to Potter I would have learned these different experiences and I will actually be, hopefully, a better actor for it."

When asked how Michael Gambon had reacted to the news, Dan has this to say:

"He's been camping it up around the set like nobody's business!

"Not in the film, though we did actually film a scene the other day, and I would like emphasise at this point that the script was written before this revelation and I don't think Steve Kloves had any prior knowledge, but there was a scene the other day when Michael had to come in and tell another character how much he loved knitting patterns! Which he just adored saying that."

Dan in Broadway!

I saw this coming ages ago, finally there is a confirmation that Daniel Radcliffe will come to Broadway to start in the production Equus.

It has been confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths — who played to sold-out crowds in the recent London revival of Equus — will reprise their work for Broadway audiences.

According to London's Daily Mail, the revival of Peter Shaffer's play will open at a Shubert theatre-to-be-announced in September 2008.

Radcliffe drew positive reviews from the London critics.

(This means that Dan is going to be living in the States for a few months...)

Dan For Evening Standard Theatre Award

Dan made the 'Longlist' for Evening Standard Theatre Award

A dazzling year of performances on the London stage will be honoured at the 2007 Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

Stars including Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Lindsay, John Simm, Jessica Lange, Billie Piper, Rosamund Pike and Kristin Scott Thomas are among the dozens who are under consideration for prizes.

With so many in the running, the judges made a plea that the longlist and not just the eventual shortlist should be released.

So today, for the first time, we list every person and production put forward by the judges - theatre critics Nicholas de Jongh of the Evening Standard, Georgina Brown of the Mail on Sunday, Susannah Clapp of The Observer, Benedict Nightingale of The Times and Charles Spencer of the Daily Telegraph.

The shortlist will be announced next week and Richard Wilson, the actor and director, will compere the lunchtime prize ceremony at the Savoy on 27 November.

*** It's a great honor for Dan to be in the long list for his great run in Equus, let's all hope he made the final list. Good luck Dan!!

News About My Boy Jack

First of all let me apologize for the lack of posting, as a student and a full time worker I've been quite busy without enough time to post any news about Dan or Emma.

Now back into the news:

In a recent interview done by Memorable to actor/writer David Haig promoting My Boy Jack, he said a few nice things about Dan:

"...Daniel (Radcliffe) is the most extraordinarily grounded, down to earth, passionate, committed and intelligent young man, and brings all of those ingredients to the part of Jack.”

The Stage has a few scans about My Boy Jack, and some great quotes from Dan:

"Putting on the military uniform makes you stand, walk and talk differently, it instantly changed my mindset, which made things easiers. But the bloody stiff collars were agony - I quite liked the moustache personally, I enjoyed the thrill of having a moustache that full. It's not a sensation I'm used to, so more moustache roles, definitely"

You can read more on the scans bellow

Sky magazine had an interview with actress Kim Cattrall, who plays the part of Jack's mother in My Boy Jack, she also had great things to say about Dan:
"Q: What's it like filming with Daniel Radcliffe who's playing your son?
KC: I love working with him. He has incredible enthusiasm and he wants to do his best - He's got the whole package. Plus, the part suits him."
