But for the film clip for her new son E.T., Katy Perry is embracing a very different look.
With the help of some extreme make-up, the pop star transformed herself into a candy-coloured alien for the video.
In teaser images for the video, the 26-year-old pop star is seen with her face transformed with extra terrestrial features.
Seeing red: In another image the singer is dressed in a flowing gown and headdress whilst posing in a crane stanceut in true Katy style, the look has smacks of bright colours with it's hot pink and blue hues.
In other images for the clip the singer is dressed in a red flowing Japanese-inspired gown and headdress whilst posing in a crane stance.
As always Katy took to her Twitter to promote the new look.
She has asked her fans to recreate the look in exchange for a reward.
'If you recreate a look I will RT it! Best efforts win! Send me your look with #KatyET! Go raid your makeup bag! WERK!' she wrote.
So far the new tune is racing up the charts.
