Pretty in plasticine: Katy Perry is seen all in blue in stills for the highly-anticipated Smurfs movie
Katy Perry is set to hit the big screen like a bolt from the blue.
The pop star plays Smurfette, the iconic and only female Smurf in the classic children's series.
In stills for the the newly released trailer, her character wears her iconic pretty white dress and demure matching heels.
She also has the more delicate features compared to the other Smurfs, with her pretty long blonde wavy hair and long eyelashes.
Perry is also reunited with her How I Met Your Mother, co-star Neil Patrick Harris, who stars as one of the leads in the animated film.
The 25-year-old made a guest appearance on the hit TV series back in January, playing the character of Honey.

The hybrid animation – a technique which mixes real actors and computer generated characters – has been in negotiations for five years.
The Smurfs have been a firm favourite with children ever since they were first created in 1958 by cartoonist Pierre Culliford.
And while Katy may be playing Smurfette, she admits that she wasn't a childhood fan of the 80s TV show.

'My mom thought that Smurfette was a little bit slutty, being the only female in the village.'
