The German edition of Vanity Fair, is featuring Dan and Emma on it's cover
The latest issue of De Kampioen Magazine has a new picture of Daniel and a new interview where he talks about London.
Here are some quotes from this interview
Is London extra fun if you're young?
“London is wonderful if you're young! I'm crazy about all different kinds of music, and in that respect in London there is everything to experience. There are also an unbelievable number of good music stores. My favorite is Fopp Records, a music chain. They always have what I'm looking for. What's also nice about
London: you can really eat anything you have a craving for there. I am not an adventurous eater - my mother wishes it were otherwise – but I love pizzas and tapas and that sort of food. And of course English things like fish and chips, but also Japanese and Indian. You can find everything in London and usually also really close by.”
Where do you like to go on the weekend?
"If there is one, a music festival. Like the Reading festival, that is held every year in August just outside London. It is actually one of the most famous music festivals in the world. I'm crazy about football and before I used to go play football on the weekend, but I don't have very much time for that anymore, unfortunately! I sometimes go to watch, there is always a football game on Sunday somewhere in London. Wembley Stadium is being renovated, that's taking centuries, and every month they come up with a new statement that it's almost ready. We English are very good at museums, but not so good at football stadiums....”
You have actually also filmed in London, right? What was your favorite location?
“Actually we only filmed in London at the London Zoo for the scene from the first book where Harry discovers that he can talk to snakes. That was really cool! The snake that talked to Harry wasn't real, but there other snakes around that were. I was also right next to a crocodile. We have also filmed in Oxford a lot, but that's outside of London. That was great, we were in places that were 1,000 years or older. That is actually also nice about London: there are still lots of old, historical buildings. When went to school there were also lots along the way.”
Who would you like to take around London?
“Emma (Hermione in the films) and Rupert (Ron). We are really good friends. Fortunately, because we see each other a great deal; we film around 11 months per year! We like that. I only wish that Rupert wouldn't always beat me at ping pong! But Emma and Rupert live pretty far from London, so I don't see them here as often as I'd like.”
Here is a picture that was taken while promoting GoF but nonetheless this a very cute picture of the trio.
And lastly, tomorrow June 22th the Press Conference for Order of the Phoenix will take place in London, so lets get ready for a full day of interviews and more pictures.
