More Doctor Who Christmas Special Rumours
There are rumours coming from the Gallifrey Base fan forum that the shooting of the Doctor Who Christmas episode has been pushed back to mid-August - can I still pray for a Doctor Who cast presence at Comic-Con after all then?
No one knows if the special will be about the Egyptian Goddess and the Orient Express in Space, which were teased about in the last episode, but it could also feature the Yeti, as seen on the mysterious concept art that I've put up here. Apparently, the special could be taking place on a Victorian style planet (I'm not so sure about this because it would be too reminiscent of the last Christmas special, The Other Doctor, which actually took place in Victorian England).
The Yetis are similar to the Autons and the Nestenes in that they are controlled by a disembodied force called The Great Intelligence. Which makes me wonder: could the mysterious voice heard in the Tardis in The Pandorica Opens belong to them?

Still, nothing is official yet. All of this is conjecture at this point so take this with a grain of salt.

Andrew Garfield cast as Spider-Man/Peter Parker - What do You Think?
Garfield has beaten out the likes of Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Jumper), Josh Hutcherson (Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant); Alden Ehrenreich; Frank Dillane, Aaron Johnson (Kick Ass) and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) for the coveted role.
Director Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer) says of Garfield that:
“Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.”
You can read about it here.
I'm rather unfamiliar with the actor, but I remember seeing him in the Doctor Who series 3 two-parter Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks where he had a small role, and I've yet to see him in Imaginarium.
Garfield was fine enough on Doctor Who but I can't quite say whether he's Peter Parker/Spider-Man material or not. However, seems like the casting people believe that he is.
I guess we can now only wait and see for ourselves when the movie comes out sometime in 2012.
Are you in anyway happy with that casting decision or do you think Marvel is heading the wrong way with both the casting and the decision to send Spider-Man back to high school?

Up Yours Twilight! Let Me In is the real deal.
When I heard Cloverfield director Matt Reeves was remaking the absolutely smashing Swedish vampire movie Let The Right One In, I cringed. Not because I didn't dig Cloverfield, but the thought of anyone remaking that modern classic made me want to punch midgets in the nutsack.
Now we've got the teaser trailer for Reeves' Let Me In, and it looks damn good. The mood is right. The intensity is right. It doesn't look like Hollywood screwed with the story. This could work. We'll know for sure when the movie opens later this year.
A remake is unnecessary, but if one is going to happen, then at least do it right. I think Reeves has done that. Watch the trailer and judge for yourself!
Who Wore it Better?
Both Kristen and Kim Kardashian have been spotted wearing this D&G Silk Tulle Dress. Kristen wore it back in November last year promoting New Moon in Hot Topic and Jimmy Kimmel.

Cover of Torchwood Magazine #22
This is the cover for the new Torchwood magazine #22. It apparently has details on the upcoming series 4. The magazine is available in the UK now but not yet in North America (we're about 2 months behind).
George Lopez
Kristen appeared on George Lopez last night as she begins to wrap up her Eclipse promotional tour duties. This time she wore her new auburn locks down giving us a better look at it. I’m officially in love with it. watch the interview below (love the papastew part).
Part 1
Part 2
Kristen wore a Bally dress that was made for her. Watching the interview you can see it fits her like a second skin. I love the pencil dress look, it’s mature and sexy yet she’s she’s keeping it youthful still. It’s not an Ashley Greene Madrid fiasco where she went too mature ala stepford wife. A pair of Giuseppe Zanotti I96279 Platform Pumps complete this look. I love the red platform and Kristen has simply removed the thin ankle strap from her pair.
Another fantastic look for Kristen as she rounds up the Eclipse promo, soon she is off to begin pre production on ‘On The Road’ and we are having a fantastic contest in celebration of filming on Polyvore. Enter your 1950’s Kristen sets Here.
