People Magazine Best Dressed 2010

Kristen was recently included on People magazines ‘Best Dressed’ of 2010 winning ‘Best Metallic’ for her Dolce and Gabbana Tweed and Metallic Brocade Mini Dress she wore to the MTV Movie Awards 2010. See the full fashion breakdown HERE. Also there will be no ‘Make Up’ Fridays today, i have attached Marias note to you at the bottom of this post.

Marias Note: Hey guys! Just an update on this week’s makeup Friday tutorial. Unfortunately my dentist appointment yesterday went worse than I’d hoped and I have another appointment on Monday morning. Therefore, this week’s tutorial will be uploaded and posted next Friday (24th September), and it will be the Rome Photocall for Eclipse. I’m so sorry about this and I hope you can forgive me for it. In another note i myself am moving this weekend so if there is any Kristen sightings or updates for the next week or so i may be a little slower on updating until i settle into my new home.

MTV Movie Awards

It's been building up all day, I've been buzzing with excitement.

So Kristen and some of her Eclipse co stars attended the Movie Awards and boy was Twitter buzzing, i could barely keep up. First off i want to say congratulations to Kristen and co for all the awards they won, we knew they would do it. Kristen arrived later on compared to some of her Twilight co stars and chose to skip the red carpet and interviews and just take some pictures before going in. I want to say i am proud she held her head up high after the recent controversy surrounding her comments. It takes a brave girl to keep fighting on when the press are constantly feeding off you this is why i am a fan of this woman, she battles on when time gets tough.

Now onto the outfit.

WOW.


This is NOT i repeat NOT what i was expecting. I love that Kristen continues to surprise us. I loved the hair extensions, they looked so bouncy and flawless.

Kristen wore a Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2010 Collection Tweed and Metallic Brocade Mini Dress.She looked fantastic, it was mature yet short and sexy. I just loved it. The shoes were the only part of the outfit i was not happy with because i felt they didn't compliment the grays and gold in the outfit. The shoes in question are Vicini Cross Strapped Pumps. Thank you to cortni from coolspotters for sending me the link to the shoe default, much appreciated. To top the whole thing off and bring the badass Kristen wore a 4 fingered Jessica Robinson Infinity Ring. Her fantastic blue nail polish is by Chanel and i've included a default. This polish is priced around $25.

Elle UK Magazine

What do you even say to something like this? I literally have NO clue. Scans came out from Kristens UK Elle Magazine spread (thanks @quiet_soliloquy) and can i just address Elle First?

Next THIS my friends is how you dress one miss Kristen Stewart. We've had the dark, rocker look and it's fab and sexy but this? THIS is really something else. They have brought in pastels, lace, polka dots (awesome) and is that a hint of a Dolce bodysuit? You bet your Kristen loving asses it is. I thought my computer was going to melt from hot steeze overload.

Okay serious now i loved the shoot, it was mature, sexy and showed a woman who is comfortable with herself, sexy and downright beautiful. Props to Elle and props to the stylist for giving us not only this fantastic shoot but the US cover aswell. They gave you your moneys worth because both shoots are entirely different, different looks, different styles and a different Kristen. This shows you why designers love her - because she can be edgy and youthful but she can be mature and sexy. That is rare and that is why i adore this woman, that is why i write this blog about this woman.

Okay so now onto the looks, lets start off with the first look we see here which features Kristen wearing a dress from the Prada Fall 2010 collection. Look at it on the model and look at it on Kristen....big difference huh? It looks so mature and ill fitting yet Kristen makes it work which is something i give her props for. I love the hair in this picture also, the whole look is so soft yet so Kristen....

The next look is absolutely swoon worthy, i wish it was in colour so we could see the gorgeous salmon colour of this playsuit but none the less it is absolutely beautiful. Here kristen wears a Vanessa Bruno Playsuit from the Fall 2010 Collection with some Prada Fall 2010 socks. I love the socks, in fact i'm crushing on all the socks in this shoot they look so cosy and comfy. This is a different look aswell, i'd love to see Kristen wearing more playsuits (she certainly has the legs for it) and i hope maybe she'll dare to wear one during Eclipse promotion.

This is one of my favourite pictures from the shoot, she just looks so relaxed and comfortable. The cardigan is by Clements Ribeiro and i am absolutely in love with it, i love the beading detail and the cashmere looks absolutely lush the pale pink colours seem to suit Kristens pale complextion so well, i hope we see her wear more of this colour in the near future. Her shorts are by 3.1 Phillip Lim and they are in fact under the default runaway picture i posted in case anyone gets confused. If you look closely you can see the metal of the shorts sticking out from under the dress, i have no idea why you would cover such a beautiful garment up with a long flowing tunic but they are under there. Her socks look absolutely lush! I want them! They are from the Prada Fall 2010 Collection (I now have a Prada sock obsession).

This is actually one of the more suprising looks in my opinion because we rarely see Kristen dressed in polka dots (is there anything she can't rock?). Here Kristen wears a polka dot blouse by Dolce and Gabanna, i love the sheer silk fabric it gives the whole garment a slight sexy edge to it. Her skirt is also by Dolce and Gabbanna and is from their Fall 2010 collection. I love the tweed of the skirt, it really stands out and the little hint of lace again gives it a sexy edge. The thigh high socks are by Vanessa Bruno and are extremely sexy in a subtle way. I love this look.

This look is very mature, very mature and very sexy. I love the coat on her, it looks much better worn by her than the model on the runaway and the fabric is to die for (i'd be snuggling the coat too Kristen, i would be too....). Her coat is by Aquascutum and comes from their Fall 2010 Collection, i love the warm beige colour it looks stunning against the pale porcelin of her skin. Her bodysuit is by Dolce and Gabanna. I've looked through all of Dolces fall collection and Kristen is almost bra like an the back with the thick straps so i believe the bodysuit under the lace dress overlay is the one she is wearing. It's just plain black with no lace hints to it. Her socks are once again the Vanessa Bruno thigh high socks.

This last look i posted way back when it originally came out. This is an outfit i wasn't particularly fond of on the runaway yet i absolutely loved on Kristen. The shorts are so unusual and an absolutely stunning fabric. I love red so any chance to see it on Kristen i jump at. The entire outfit here has been picked straight from the runaway and is by D&G. The socks are the same the same black thigh high socks she has worn for the majority of this shoot - they are from Vanessa Brunos Fall 2010 Collection.

Elle US Magazine

I don't have words, i truely don't even know what to say to you guys to be honest........ this is hands down one of the best photoshoots we have ever seen Kristen in. Its up there with 'Interview Magazine' in 2009, why? Well not only does it feature phenomenal styling/hair/make up looks but it caputures where Kristen is in her life at this point. Interview magazine was showing badass Joan Jett Kristen with her black shag and dark edgy clothing/heavy make up. This is almost a more sexual shoot, she's 20 now and i see a woman who is now comfortable with herself and who she is. Beautiful, simply beautiful. Her body, damn Kristen! I want that body! Whoever the stylist was done a fantastic job of creating looks that compliment Kristens figure whilst bringing in a youthful sexiness to it. Everything here is classy, everything here is Kristen.

Now i know there is some confusion but i think the Elle UK and Elle US issues will be different spreads because the backstage video showed Kristen in some outfits not shown in this spread. I feel treated that we get two whole spreads, think of the steeze! The Elle UK magazine comes out June 2nd i think so you can bet i'll be here and ready to post (p.s I've started my draft already). By the way just incase Elle in fact tell you what Kristen is wearing in the article so the whole thing here was actually pretty easy, so thanks Elle. Moving on....

Why not start with the cover, which i feel was different from the actual inside spread. Kristen wears a beige version of these Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2010 high waisted shorts. I love them! She doesn't get to wear enough shorts and she looks comfortable in the. Ah there is that Cartier Love Bracelet again, she wore this back in Harpers Bazaar in 2009. Its an ultimate classic and romantic design. Now let me share a fact about me, i have a watch fetish. I literally feel naked without one on so this had me drooling. You have to appreciate beautiful jewellery and this piece is stunning. This particular watch is by Cartier (and thanks to Vogue because i got the default of it from them).

This look here features Kristen in a Stella McCartney dress from her pre-fall 2010 collection. Lace is always something i personally love to work with in dress making because a small hint of it can always make a garment sexy. I love how the entire top part is lace, this is very out there and sexy without being tacky. Stella knows how to work her lace well and i love how it should be revealing but its not actually showing much skin. Could many people pull it off? I don't think so and thats what makes Kristen great because when she likes something she rocks it with an attitude no one can top. The boots are Giuseppe Zanotti and compliment the whole look. I'd like to see Kristen in more over the knee boots because she has the legs for them and as i said before she can pull something like this off without looking like shes trying to appear sexual, it just comes naturally with this woman.

Giuseppe Zanotti Over the Knee Boots

Next look sees Kristen wearing a Versus strappy dress from their fall 2010 collection. I love this dress in ways i can not explain enough, the colour is fabulous against her porcelin skin. I know we see Kristen in a lot of dark colours but this dress is a step out from what she normally wears, its sexy with all the straps showing skin and the built in bra structure. The skirt flares out, i love that because it complimenting her figure quite nicely. This is one of my favourite dresses from the shoot simply because i think the sexy edge compliments Kristen as a person. It's nice when a stylist looks at who you are and takes their styling ideas from that. Youthful, edgy and sexy what can i say?

First thing is first, can i live in a room full of Kristen pictures? We need wallpaper companies to start making rolls of this stat! It would be a top seller. Kristen is rocking Mr Oscar De La Renta here. This particular dress is actually from the Pre Fall 2010 collection and features chiffon and patent detail. The patent brings something special into the look and compliments the shoes nicely. Kristens shoes are Christian Louboutin Zhora Pumps, i love the clear sides on the shoe and that red sole gets me every time. I love Louboutins i really do think he creates the most fabulous shoes and he always has something for everyone. Her jewellery is also from Oscar de La Renta and is featured on the pre fall collection runaway models.

Christian Louboutin Zhora Pumps




Hello sexy Kstew! The legs on show - check. The back on show - check. These are two of Kristens best features, yes i know saying her back is one of her best features is weird but some people just can't pull off backless *points to self*. Here her shorts and halter top are by Giorgio Armani. The defaults aren't great for this look, the shorts are featured on the runaway but the model is covering them with her flowing top. The halter top Kristen wears actually isn't featured on the runaway but is by the same designer. I love that the black on these outfits is metallic almost, it gives the outfit the glam factor and makes the whole look sensual and dramatic. The shoes featured in this look are by Ballenciaga and come from their Pre Fall 2010 collection. I love Balenciagas shoes, this is a designer i think Kristen wears quite well (think Twilight L.A premiere and New Moon Madrid Fan event). Another fantastic styling choice.

Green isn't a colour we see on Kristen very often and it's a shame because she looks fantastic in it. This particular dress is not an on the runaway look but it is a design modified. This happens alot, things get made in different colours and such so there isn't a particular default for this. What i have provided is a picture of the original design from the Fall 2010 Dolce and Gabanna collection and Kristens version is just a modification of that particular design. I love the lace overlay on the lepoard print, lepoard print can go either way these days - tacky or classy. I think this was the better of the two and i wish we had gotten to see more of the dress than just the upper half!

I was thinking about these backdrops the other day, they are part of the shoot but the hair and styling make me believe they were taken some time last year perhaps. Kristens layers in her hair are much shorter and this particular 'look' seems similar to the Gloss Magazine picture. Both were from Calvin Klein so i'm not sure if that particular shoot was done by Elle or is just featured, all i know is i want to see more pictures from this shoot! I loved the backdrop idea and the rooms full of Kristen pictures, its different and gives the shoot several different looks.
